Our Classes
Each Student begins with the KidsImprov.com class for Hollywood-style training. Classes are 3 hours in length and are held once a week for 10 consecutive weeks. They are high-energy and fully participatory – all students play in every exercise, perform a minimum of seven times per class, get involved with how scripts are written and actually perform on camera.
Level 1 (KI-1)top
Basic introduction to acting through improvisation, sketch writing, and on-camera performance. Kids act in an actual production, with fellow classmates, professional script and cameras rolling. Finished sketches appear on KI website for use as their demo reel. Real experience for real results!
Level 2 (KI-2)top
Through improve, actors learn how to express emotion and work in advanced situations. The KI writers help the child develop a monologue that expresses their character, and concludes with the professional production of the monologue for their own use in audition settings.
Level 3 (KI-3)top
Emphasis on developing a full-blown comic character that is very different from the performer. The character will be explored in many different exercises, and a sketch developed and written for this specific character. Students who have participated in L3 are also selected for the KI commercials that run on major networks in local markets.
Independent Studytop
This study is specifically tailored to the interests of each student. Whether it is acting, directing, producing, or writing. KidsImprov.com will tailor a program to fit the student's needs.
Writers Workshoptop
The class guides students through the fundamentals of comedy writing, how to develop funny, relatable characters and the importance of rewriting. Each student will write two (2) strong, 1-3 minute comedy sketches. Their sketches may be produced by KidsImprov.com and appear on the KI website with their official writing credit for the entire world to see.
